Description of Presentation:  What happens in childhood is a powerful predictor of population physical and behavioral health and social and workforce challenges.  There is growing scientific information studying Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Resilience – what practitioners are calling N.E.A.R. Sciences. A new Speakers Bureau has formed in Washington State to support the spread of this information and to help communities respond.

What is predictable is preventable.  N.E.A.R. Speakers Bureau trainings build a common language and understanding that can help any audience recognize the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences in the places where they live, work, gather, and play.  Participants will also hear examples of how other communities have applied this emerging science to make a difference.

Presentations are customized for each audience and can range in length from one to three hours.  The Cowlitz Community Network can assist with logistics and other support. Please fill out the form below to request a presentation. We will get back with you within 3 working days.
