Welcome to the Cowlitz Community Network website!

Formed in 1995, the Cowlitz Community Network creates a healthier and better Cowlitz County.

“The Cowlitz Community Network brings the community together and creates opportunities to help at-risk youth and families succeed.” – Mission Statement

The Network volunteers and partners with community organizations, agencies and the public to improve Cowlitz County. This website has been created to help serve you. Please visit often to check out what we are doing and join us if you have time!

Current Focus

The Network is currently involved in these initiatives to:

  1. Provide free training and technical assistance for child care center and home care provider staffs, parents and family members, and others who work with children, especially those with behavioral challenges.
  2. Provide free Financial Literacy training for at-risk youth and families who have low incomes, are homeless or at risk of being homeless, or are financially vulnerable.

We also host free conversations on N.E.A.R. — Neuroscience, Epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and Resiliency. N.E.A.R. science offers a holistic perspective of a person’s experiences over their lifetime and incorporates resilience, a key factor in the outcomes of a person’s life.
